[TN-Bird] Mendota Year-to-Date Hawk Report

Hi Hawk Watching Fans:
Thanks to Larry McDaniel, here is the Mendota Hawk Report as of Saturday, 
September 24, 2004, with year-to-date totals in parentheses:

Broad-winged Hawk:     65  (4429)
Sharp-shinned Hawk:    3   (16)
Coopers Hawk:             3   (12)
Am Bald Eagle:            -    (5)
Goshawk:                    -    (1)
Am Kestrel:                 1    (7)
Red-shouldered Hawk:  2    (4)
Osprey:                       -    (23)

I do not have a report for Sunday, September 26. If you were at the site on 
this date and have a count, please let me know. Thanks.

I plan to be on site again after this current tropical system, Jeanne, moves 
out. Looks there may be a window of opportunity for watching on Wednesday. And 
don't forget the Mendota Hawk Festival, set for Saturday, October 2, 2004, 
Mendota, VA, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Mendota Community Center. Come enjoy!
