Hi Birders:
After a very slow day on Friday, September 19 (9 Broad-winged Hawks, 2
Sharp-shinned Hawks, 1 A. Kestrel, and 1 Osprey), the action picked
dramatically
over the weekend. Twenty three area birders turned out for the show, and were
not
disappointed:

* Does not include numbers for 9/17, which have not been submitted.
On Sunday we also saw a flight of approximately 20 Double-crested Cormorants,
in a vee formation, flying very high from north to south. Neat site!
Based on past data, more good hawk flights are anticipated this week after
the current front moves out. Come join us.
