The hunt for a suspected nest still proves unfruitful but I have now
photographed or seen the smaller male bird perched or hunting from five
buildings in
downtown and the Memphis-Arkansas Bridge where I first suspected nesting.
The larger, lighter female has not been seen since the two were found sitting
together on one of the Memphis-Arkansas bridge pilings, a couple of weeks ago.
I still have high hopes of a nest but time just does not allow for the
necessary stake outs. Sometimes it takes an hour or more just to locate the
bird.
Hopefully, if there is a nest, all will fall in place with the feeding of
young. This weekend the smaller, darker bird was located, Saturday and Sunday
lounging on a ledge 20 stories up, surveying his domain.
Good Birding !!!
