McKellar - Robco - Coro Lakes
The Black Scoter has taken up staying in McKellar Lake rather than the TVA
Lakes. The Long-tailed Duck was seen both Saturday and Sunday on Robco Lake and
this time was feeding and not sleeping while the White-winged Scoter is
again being seen on Coro Lake. Photos posted on web site.......
The numbers of scaup doubled over the previous week and I've never seen this
many Lesser and Greater Scaup ever in Tennessee. The leucistic Lesser Scaup
that has been around all season is pink as she can be. I've posted photos of
the scaup flock in the air when the immature Bald Eagle ( photos posted also)
cruised right down the center of the lake. A single White Pelican and a
Red-breasted Merg female were located in the masses. Forster's Terns and
Ring-billed Gulls come and go while there is still one Purple Martin hanging up
high.
