The Long-tailed Duck is back at the Knox County Concord Marina this morning.
I could not find her when I first arrived at the Marina so I left, turned west
on Northshore and took the next right that goes up the hill overlooking a
fishing area. There is a small picnic area (Shelter 8) on the left I parked
and saw the Long-Tailed Duck with about a dozen coots swimming steadily toward
the marina. It's very close; in fact the road ends in the marina. I watched
her until she and her companions swam out of sight. She's probably at the
marina now but I'd had great close-up views of her and had to get to work.
Another life duck! What a winter this has been.
