Concord Marina, Knox County, TN
This morning I found the Long-tailed Duck just down from picnic area #8. I was
still with the group of coots. If you take the entrance on the right hand side
of the road closest to the bridge, heading west along northshore, or on your
left if you are coming east from the roundabout and across the bridge, you will
come to the picnic area on the left. If you look down the hill towards the
water I found it along the shore. There were plenty of coots fishing here and
the duck followed them along the shore as they moved towards the bridge. They
turned and came back then swam across to the opposite park and back.
good birding
