Birders:( Lauderdale Waterfowl Refuge at Lauderdale County ) On early Sunday afternoon on Jan. 15, 2006 while Shane Adams heading towards Nashville from duck hunting with my uncle at River Bend Northwest of Dyers County we stop at the Lauderdale Waterfowl Refuge at Lauderdale County South of Dyers County here is what I saw yesterday afternoon they are: Over 20,000 + Mallards ( Drakes & Hens sitting on road, & flying in the and over the Refuge ) And possible 2 Ospreys ( also in the Refuge ).
