[TN-Bird] Large White Hawk

While traveling on Route 23 south of Erwin and about one to two miles into 
North Carolina, I spotted a large white hawk off in a field on the left.  
This area is about .2 mile above Little Creek Road in NC.  All feather 
tracts appeared to be white except for those around eyes.  On flight the 
bird exposed its reddish tail feathers.  The bird was the size and shape of 
a RED-TAILED HAWK.

Another all-white red-tail has been reported in the Hot Springs area of NC 
in 2002.
