Greene County: Wal-Mart Distribution Center (WMDC), etc.
The recent cold weather has brought a lot of birds. A relatively short time in
the field today produced the following:
Gadwall (26, WMDC, etc.)
American Black Duck (10, WMDC)
Northern Shoveler (4, Gravel Woods Rd.)
Northern Pintail (Gravel Woods Rd.)
Green-winged Teal (81, WMDC)
Ring-necked Duck (6)

Cooper's Hawk (3)
Sora (WMDC, third pond)
American Coot (40, WMDC)
Wilson's Snipe (10, WMDC)
Horned Lark (Baughard Hill Rd.)
Marsh Wren (WMDC)
Brown Thrasher
American Pipit (3)
Common Yellowthroat (WMDC)
Swamp Sparrow (5)
White-crowned Sparrow (2)
Lapland Longspur (fly-by, calling, WMDC; first record for the site)
