[TN-Bird] Kingston Steam Plant, Roane County

Sightings at Kingston Steam Plant have improved some. After 5:00 p.m. Tuesday,
May 23, we saw:
White-rumped Sandpipers
Semipalmated Sandpipers
Baird's Sandpipers
Semipalmated Plovers
There is an Osprey nest on the red crane that is in the big pond.
Accessibility to an elevated view of the big pond can be gained by going up the
steep road to the left from the main road to the ash ponds and, after about 100
feet, go right and follow that narrower road. This road is not covered with
ash so it will be sticky clay mud if it is wet.
The location of the ash ponds is on page 42, A-2 of DeLorme.
