Fellow Squinters
Confession time. Three days ago in Diamondhead, Mississippi I had a smallish
hummingbird make EIGHT (8) approaches to my hummingbird trap. It never
entered the cage, but I had lots and lots of time to observe this individual.
I did not capture and band it. Bottom line, after viewing it for a total of
several minutes at very close range, I don't have a clue as to what species
it was. I think it was a female??

I thought I would feel better after this confession; I don't.
