Peregrine Falcons are famous for catching bats. I've seen them take bats at 
caves in Mexico and read a few stories of them in different location 
stationing themselves at caves. They also hawk bats over the water in 
northern South America around ocean ports on wintering grounds. I watched a 
Peregrine take out after a Kestrel once over the ocean in Rhode Island. I did 
not give the Peregrine much of a chance of success but in just three dives it 
flew off with the Kestrel in tow. I bet I wasn't as surprised as the Kestrel 
but he invested more of himself in the experiment than I did ;o)

Never seen a Kestrel try for one.........you just never know what you will 
see next.
