[TN-Bird] KY Lake, Henry County 1/24/07

Took advantage of being in Stewart County on other business yesterday
to make an afternoon run to the "coast of Tennessee;" i.e. Paris
Landing State Park plus the Britton Ford and Pace Point areas (Big
Sandy unit, Tennessee NWR). The weather was nice (partly cloudy,
light winds), but the heat ripples off the water were still enough to
obscure views of moderately distant birds on the lake. Good numbers
of puddle ducks; many loons, grebes, and diving ducks were too far
out to see well. No particularly unusual species identified.

Approximate totals (water birds only):

Canada Goose 250 (+Cackling/Lesser Canada Geese discussed earlier)
Gadwall 1000
American Wigeon 100
American Black Duck 150
