[TN-Bird] KTOS trip to Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery

Tony King led a KTOS field trip to the Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery in Clinton, 
Anderson County this morning from 8:30 until around 10:20.  I didn't do an 
official count but I believe 8 people attended.  It was cold and a bit windy.  
Waterfowl seen included:
 
Mallards 
Buffleheads
Lesser Scaup
a female Hooded Merganser
Ring-Neck Ducks
2 American Coots
 
With the exception of the Mallards and a coot these were all on the pond at the 
foot of the hill leading down from the upper pond which for the first time I 
remember held no water.  It did hold 3 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS who appeared to be 
hunkered down, resting and a GREATER YELLOWLEGS.
 
Other birds included Belted Kingfisher, Crows, Starlings (lots), Eastern 
Meadowlarks, Killdeer, a Red Tailed Hawk and a Pipit.  (not an all inclusive 
list)
