We would like to invite you to join us for the 2003 Kentucky Ornithological
Society Fall Meeting as we continue celebrating the 80th Anniversary of KOS!

This year's Fall meeting will be held at the Ramada Inn in Henderson, Ky.
October 3-5, 2003 with featured speaker Jon Dunn.

Hotel Reservations > Thirty rooms are being held at the Ramada Inn. Rooms
rates are $54.00/double + tax and includes a deluxe continental breakfast.

Camping > Nearby camping is available on a first come, first serve basis at
John James Audubon State Park. For more information, visit

This weekend meeting is Open To The Public with a registration fee payable
at the
meeting of $5.00 adults, $3.00 students. No advance registration is
required.

About the speaker > Jon Dunn lives near Bishop, California. He has extensive
knowledge of the identification and distribution of North American birds and
has written or co-written numerous papers that have appeared in a wide
variety of journals. Jon was chief consultant to the National Geographic
Society's Field Guide to the Birds of North America, the 4th edition of
which was released in October, 2002. He was co-writer and host of the
two-video set Large and Small Gulls of North America in the Advance Birding
Video Series as well as co-author with Kimball Garrett of both Birds of
Southern California: Status and Distribution and Warblers. Jon is currently
a member of the American Birding Association's Board of Directors as well as
a consultant for their magazine, Birding. He is also a member of the
American Ornithologists' Union Checklist Committee and the ABA Checklist
Committee. Jon has been a tour leader for WINGS, INC. for 25 years.

We look forward to Jon's visit and to birding at the Henderson Sloughs
Wildlife Management Area !
