Here are the results of our Christmas Count. This is an "unofficial" count
as we do not have enough field observers to meet the National Standard, but we
do follow the requirements of counting within a circular area. Our thanks to
everyone who contributed. Ralph and Kay Brinkhurst, Lebanon, Wilson Co.

TOTAL 56 SPECIES
Boxwell Reserve was open to us this year but did not provide many species
records, apart from the Ruby-crowned Kinglet. We missed several ducks,
Killdeer,
owls, Chipping Sparrow, Cowbird, Grackle and Purple Finch from recent
Christmas counts. The warm weather may be the cause of this. We also only had
one
person on feeder watch for a brief period.
