Jeff seems to right according to the Driving Directions to Arkansas Preserves
page of The Nature Conservancy web site www.nature.org Only four locations
are listed as:
"preserves where the Ivory-billed Woodpecker was found!"
Unfortunately, good common patience may not be the first action of many
birders regardless of logic or ethics. This may be an opportune time for
birders to
impose a lottery upon themselves and designate proceeds to help the cause of
regulated access the most precious habitat of the Ivory-billed Woodpecker.
Perhaps the only ones in favor of something like this are ones that have
already
seen the bird!
With two years elapsed I would like to think that a plan is already in place
and that tomorrow's announcement is not an irresponsible one.
'Til we bird again
