Wow, I've never seen anything like this before. This year's accorn 'crop'
in my neck of the woods has been just amazing--but dangerous. They've been
'raining' out of the trees and several of my neighbors have been hit in the
head, one even had this glasses broken when an accorn hit the frame just
right. Happy that the wildlife will have plenty of food.
This is a huge difference from last year when there were very few
accorns due to the killing frost in the spring and the summer's drought.
Also, a female/juvenile Ruby-throat HB made a brief appearance at the feeder
this morning.
