I ran the Indian Mound Breeding Bird Survey route this past Saturday June 27,
which starts in central eastern Stewart county and runs through northwestern
Montgomery county. Weather was clear with light winds. Although the route was
run fairly late in the BBS season number of species was close to average at 65.
Two new species for the route: Eurasian collared-dove and Dickcissel. Both were
located in Montgomery county. Also had 1 Chuck-will's-widow on stop #2 in
Stewart county and a couple of Barred owls as well.
