Tennessee NWR - Duck River Unit Humphreys County, TN Wheat Field in Pool 6 (on your left as you enter the refuge) at the corner of Refuge Lane and Lawrence Creek Rd (which is closed now for the winter) These birds are viewable from Refuge Lane which is the main road through the bottoms and is open all winter long, assuming no flooding. They were not present yesterday. They were in a field with 137 white-fronts, 4 snows, 5 blues (2 adults and 3 immatures) plus an uncounted number of Canada geese which included those of the Richardson's race. One of the adult blues was nearly 50% white. By far the "whitest" blue I have ever seen.
