A female Western Kingbird / Scissor-tailed Flycatcher hybrid or one of her
offspring has returned to the same nesting site for the 11th year and
paired with a male Western Kingbird. When you compare the first photo taken in
2004 with this year's photo, it would be hard to say which is which. Two
years she paired with a Scissor-tail male, although he did not feed the young
and she raised them by herself. Two other female hybrids paired with
Western Kingbird males are nesting for the 5th year in North Memphis.
