At Bob and Martha Sargent's talk Saturday night at Ijams Nature
Center, they mentioned that hummingbird nests were more likely to fail
when the spring is wet. Bob showed some pictures of nests in places
where they had a rainy April and those nests failed. In Knoxville, we
had a good bit of rain this spring, so I'm hypothesizing that the rain
may lead to fewer juveniles this year.
