In an effort to pick up some First Of Year (FOY) Tennessee birds I visited the Wier Dam Area woods on the mainland behind the restroom building. Following a brief trip I met Wallace and Carolyn Coffey, as well as, Richard and Pam Kretz in the parking area. Good birds and good fellowship! Here is an incomplete list: . Red-bellied Woodpecker - 1 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - 2 (a pair) Downy Woodpecker - 2 (a pair) Hairy Woodpecker - 2 (a pair) hmmm. Eastern Phoebe - 1 Carolina Wren - 3 Winter Wren - 2 Golden-crowned Kinglet - 3 Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 1 Hermit Thrush - 1 Chipping Sparrow - 4 . 'Til we bird again .
