[TN-Bird] Hiwassee area - 18 Dec

Sorry for the late post. I took off work on Tuesday, 18 Dec and
did some birthday birding around the Hiwassee area. Was not able
to relocate the Plegadis ibis that Frank and Sharon reported on
16 Dec but plenty of places it could have been hiding. Some
highlights below, all between I-75 exit 33 and the Dubke crane
viewing area at Hiwassee...

Snow Goose, 19 (10 white-morph, 9 blue-morph including 2 immature)
Canada Goose, Wood Duck, Gadwall, Am Wigeon, Am Black Duck, Mallard,
N Shoveler, N Pintail, Green-winged Teal, Ring-necked Duck, Lesser
Scaup, Bufflehead, Hooded Merganser, Ruddy Duck
Pied-billed Grebe
Sandhill Crane, several thousand
Whooping Crane, 5 adults, 1 immature from the viewing area
Least Sandpiper, 1 on the flats on Blythe Ferry Rd near Hwy 58
Wilson's Snipe, 19 same area
Red-breasted Nuthatch, 1 at crane viewing area

Also stopped briefly at Standifer Gap Marsh in Chattanooga later
on (around 3-4PM). Had a fussy wren that would never pop up along
the gravel road on the east end of the marsh. It was in the cattails
on the left-hand side of the road (walking in) directly across from
the open water past the stand of trees on the right-hand side.
I was thinking Sedge Wren but never could confirm.
