Today 12/16 around noon we observed an all dark ibis at the newly formed
"wetland Project" (formerly a roadside pond obscured from the road by the dense
roadside fencerow) just north of the turn into the Crane viewing area of the
Hiwasse Refuge on Blythe Ferry Road in Meigs County. We believe it is a first
winter bird making it virtually indistinguishable (glossy vs. white-faced) in
the field. It was in the pond closest to the road.
