Following Don Holt's directions (which were absolutely perfect), I was able to
locate the Henslow's Sparrow (on Keebler Road - Wash. Co.) this morning. It
was singing from the exact mustard plant (the one on the left) that Don had
described. I do advise anyone who goes looking for the bird, to go in the
morning hours. I have been down two late afternoons in a row, with no luck. I
also advise taking a scope with you. The song gives the bird away, but to see
details you will need the scope.
Also along Keebler Road was a Loggerhead Shrike!!!
Other birds:
Greater Yellowlegs (1)
Solitary Sandpiper (3)
Spotted Sandpiper (1)
Horned Lark (2)
Blue Grosbeak (2)
