Ruby-throated Hummingbird numbers have varied at our house for the last week.
Last Wednesday we had only one, then on Thursday two others joined this single.
They left Friday morning and the single hummer has remained and is visiting
the feeders regularly today. She must be a hearty bird as last night we had
the strongest sustained winds ever in our yard and this morning the shredded
leaves were all over everything.
We still have a single Rose-breasted Grosbeak and Yellow-rumped Warblers. A
beautiful Golden-crowned Kinglet was the highlight of the morning as we did
window birding.
