[TN-Bird] Hamilton county - Black-billed Cuckoos

TN Birders:
This morning at Audubon Acres
we saw two Black-billed Cuckoos.
First they were flying across the
trail so that in addition to knowing it was a cuckoo there was no rufous
coloring in the wings. They went
into and landed on a shrub/tree
where I was able to see well the
red eyes as well as the black bill on
one of them. Not a FOY but there is
always a thrill with sightings of
this cuckoo.

Earlier when we were looking/ listening for Swainson's Warbler I found a
Red-eyed Vireo nest with "mom" on the nest.

We had a Mourning Dove nest with two young about twelve inches from the trail
and slightly above eye level.

We had (heard and saw) a
Yellow-bellied Flycatcher.

Not as good as the
Greater Sandplover in FL
or the
Fan-tailed Warbler in NM
but ...

It was good to hear and see
the Willow Flycatcher
last Tuesday (12th)
at the Standifer Gap Marsh
in Hamilton county.
