Miss. River at MariJack Park
Champy Pocket
Tiptonville, Tn.
After hearing about the Sabine Gull I decided to go bird for a while in spite
of Jetlag and a UR viral infection I acquired while traveling in Israel.
ONe Gull was seen at Champy Pocket and it would not get close enough. There
were about 25 White Pelicans there and 1000+ DC cormorants were noted in the
middle of the lake toward Swan Basin and were constantly flying in and doing a
drive.
At the River I found about 15 Ring Billed Gulls on a sand bar and 25 Bluewinged
Teal with them. Stayed around for a while but there was no further activity
except for barges.
I also had my first Red Breasted Nuthatch at my feeder today. I have been gone
two weeks so they probably have been here.
