Trenton, Gibson County
I was working in the N. Fork of the Forked Deer River
bottoms around Trenton in Gibson County again today
and had several nice woodland birds this morning:
Louisiana Waterthrush - sang several times
Kentucky Warbler - had 2-3 individuals singing
Acadian Flycatcher - 2-3 were singing
Red-shouldered Hawk - a very vocal pair
Mississippi Kite - only saw 3 today compared to over
50 yesterday!
I forgot to report yesterday (June 10) that I had a
Sharp-shinned Hawk along Hwy. 54 about 1 mile SE of
the Trenton city limits in Gibson County.
Good birding,
Mark Greene
