The Passer domesticus is endangered in Holland. There was a scandal

In Memphis, at my house, we have white-throated sparrows and dark-eyed
juncos staying for the winter. This morning I saw one single Passer
domesticus
struggling to put back lots of suet at my feeder, before he too heads off on
his vacation.
