Add to this list Carver's Gap (Roan Mtn State Park), although it'll be a
bit difficult in places to tell if you've bagged a TN bird or an NC
bird...

Many thanks to everyone who responded to my RFI about Brown-headed 
Nuthatches. This weekend, I drove down to Chester Frost State Park in 
Hamilton County, where I saw two Brown-headed Nuthatches (and heard a 
couple more).

Based on the responses I received, Brown-headed Nuthatches appear to be 
somewhat more widespread than I thought. If anyone else is interested in 
searching for them, the following locations were suggested:

1.) Hamilton County - Chester Frost State Park or the marina by
Chickamauga 
Dam (off of Hwy 153). They're also coming to a feeder in Collegedale (a 
suburb of Chattanooga).

2.) Hardin County - the campground below Pickwick Dam

3.) Roane County - Kingston Steam Plant
