Obion County, TN
I visited Reelfoot Indian Creek Number 10 Lake in Obion County (this lake is in
northern Obion County near the Kentucky state line west of Woodland
Mills) yesterday and found the water levels to be down quite a bit which
exposed
some mudflats around the outer edge of the lake. There were lots of herons and
egrets feeding along with a few shorebirds (including some Baird's Sandpipers):
Great Egret - 32
Great Blue Heron - 17
Snowy Egret - 2
Killdeer - 87
Baird's Sandpiper - 4
Least Sandpiper - 3
Western Sandpiper - 1
Pectoral Sandpiper - 1

Killdeer - 34
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 3
Least Sandpiper - 14
Pectoral Sandpiper - 4
Upland Sandpiper - I heard one calling from a soybean field near the levee.
Least Terns - 27 were feeding along the edge of the Mississippi River

While at my daughter's soccer practice on McClellan Road in the north part of
