Caution re: "kill the Ivory-billed Woodpecker promotional products."
Exhortations and actions to suppress free speech, however odious, only
encourages it and the behavior recommended. And puerile attacks of the kind
offered in this case, especially, would only seem to strengthen
conservation's hand. Send your opposing free speech to the Corey and Jay
show and witness the inevitable promotion and with luck, the adoption, of
our views. The key to keeping the lunatic fringe in check is to give it a
voice to which we in a free society can respond.

I was made aware of the website below where Corey and Jay, DJs on radio
station 100.3, are selling products promoting the getting rid of the
Ivory-billed woodpecker.
Under free press they are most likely legally able to get away with this.
I consider it irresponsible and think they need to be convinced that this
is not a funny nor a wise thing to promote.
The recovery of the Ivory-billed woodpecker will be difficult enough
without this. With 50% of the population below average intelligence,
there
is a big resource base for some idiots to adopt this as a serious cause.
With the burning of the observation trestle, we know that such sentiments
already exists without further encouragement.
