[TN-Bird] Fox Sparrows, RB Nuthatch

Hi folks,

Today, 10/24/05 I saw my first Fox Sparrows of the year here at
Tremont (Great Smoky Mountains, Blount County)

There were 3 of them on the Falls Trail at about 9:30 am.

Also present in one big, wonderful feeding flock were numerous
kinglets of both species, at least 3 Blue-headed Vireos (all singing)
a Downy Woodpecker, 4 Eastern Tufted Titmice, 5 chickadees
(presumably Carolina) and a White-breasted Nuthatch.

On Saturday we heard my first low-elevation Red-breasted Nuthatch of
the season. A single individual calling from half way up the Old
Sugarlands Trail in the Sevier County section of Great Smoky
Mountains National Park.
