Made a visit to the Great Horned Owl nest site on DeVault Bridge Rd. today. Both young have flown the coop. I scanned the ground and surrounding trees and finally found the two young sitting side by side on a tree limb on the opposite side of the field from the road. Mom was sitting in the same tree on the other side of the trunk. So far all is well. I was just happy to see that they had both made it through the big leap!
