[TN-Bird] Fall Count / Shelby County

Fall Migratory Bird Day
Shelby County, TN

    Twelve observers participated in this year's fall migration count for 
Shelby County (Memphis, etc.).  There were 119 species found, including 18 
warblers.

Some of the notable species:

Snowy Egret, Ensley
Osprey, Ensley
Sora, Shelby Farms
Upland Sandpiper, Ensley
Black-billed Cuckoo, Orgill Park
ALDER FLYCATCHER, Shelby Forest
Fish Crow, Shelby Forest
Bank Swallow, Island 40
Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Shelby Forest
Cedar Waxwing, Ensley
Orange-crowned Warbler, Shelby Farms
Baltimore Oriole, Ensley

High counts were also noted:

Great Egret, 31
Wood Duck, 77
Red-shouldered Hawk, 9
Eurasian Collared-Dove, 37
Red-headed Woodpecker, 39
White-eyed Vireo, 81
Carolina Chickadee, 95
(There were only 55 Tufted Titmice; usually more than chickadees)
White-breasted Nuthatch, 37
Carolina Wren, 91
Gray Catbird, 20
Brown Thrasher, 14
