[TN-Bird] FW: Swallow-Tailed Kite in Knoxville

I just received this report through the TOS website.  Sounds like a good
record. The location is in Knox County, a short distance south of the
Tennessee River.

Subject: Swallow-Tailed Kite in Knoxville

Today, (July 17, 2008), I saw a Swallow-Tailed kite right next to the
University of Tennessee Medical Center soaring over Alcoa Highway around
2:00 pm.  I'm only an amateur bird watcher and am not qualified to
distinguish between species, but it was very distinctive.  The bird was
moderately large (perhaps crow-size) and had a distinct swallow tail.  It
was black and white underneath (the body, head,  and leading sections of the
wings all white, remaining parts black).

Since it's uncommon around here, I wanted to report it in the hopes that
someone else might be able to see it and identify it.
