Bob -- or anyone else -- what pond did you see the Red Phalaropes on?
I'm heading down this afternoon with a friend to try and spot those
guys! Any helpful info would be appreciated! :)P.

Red-necked Phalarope - Kingston Steam Plant 8/27
While roaming the Kingston Steam plant ash ponds, late this afternoon
looking for interesting photos a very kind birding gentleman waved me
over to point out three Red-necked Phalaropes in one of the upper ponds.
I apologize now for my rudeness in not introducing myself, and for not
getting his name either. But I would like to offer a sincere thanks to
that gentleman.
A few photos, for those interested;

I thought that I was taking a photo of Canadian Geese landing until I
looked closer ... In the mix was a Graylag and a white goose (not sure -
snow goose?)

One last side note ... I watched these Chinese Geese come in and rest at
the boat ramp parking lot next to the Naval Reserve Center on Alcoa
Highway, in Knoxville. (on Tuesday)
