[TN-Bird] FW: Loggerhead Shrikes -- reasons for declines?

Seems to me that shrikes have been disappearing from so many different parts of
the state, even areas where habitat has not been ripped asunder, so I presume
their decline also has roots in their overwintering spot(s) and migration
routes....?
Here is a very appealing brochure on Loggerhead shrike recovery from Manitoba.
They don't know why declines are so steep either.

I have not seen a Loggerhead Shrike in Hamilton County in two years.
There may be a few pairs left, but not many.
