Had my first of season magnolia warbler and Baltimore oriole in the yard this
morning. Other highlights: wild turkey, indigo bunting, rose-breasted
grosbeak, blue grosbeak, scarlet tanager, American redstart, prothonotary
warbler, common yellowthroat, hooded warbler, orchard oriole and red-eyed
vireo.
Again no yellow-rumped warblers! The yard count of yellow-rumped warblers for
the last 6 days is a total of two! I know they are around somewhere, just not
here.
The maggie and Baltimore jumped my Knox county list to 101. A far cry from the
list the folks in Blount county have been racking up.
I confess to not being much of a lister, but since I have been putting my field
cards into Ebrid (http://www.ebird.org/content/index.html) keeping track of
state/county list is automatic.
