[TN-Bird] Eurasian collared dove in Clinton

Friday around 4 p.m.I stopped by the Jaycees Park in Clinton in Anderson
County, Tennessee where Don Lynch feeds the squirrels and doves every two
days. He was there. He said that the Eurasian collared doves had stopped
coming sometime in the summer for the seed he put down, as had the mourning
doves, but that he still sees them at home. While he continued to walk
around throwing peanuts to the friendly gray squirrels (must have been
dozens of them), I began watching a flock of mourning doves in the grass
under a tree just on the other side of the pavilion (the side away from the
parking lot). I was rewarded by seeing a Eurasian collared dove fly in and
join them for a time. Very handsome. Don says they can sometimes be
observed on the wires in the general area of the park which is just off
Route 61 a little south of the Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery.
