This past Sunday morning, Sept. 3, I was at the small wetland off Emory Road in Knoxville--located behind a strip mall with a Dollar General Store about 1.5 miles east of the I-75 exchange (location previously reported by Allan Trently - thanks, Allan). Anyway, species of interest seen included: Solitary Sandpiper (perhaps ain immature, it looked very brown) the resident Wood Ducks (at least 9) a few Mallards Belted Kingfisher Killdeer and a humongous turtle swimming near the wood ducks Carole Gobert Knox County, Tennessee =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
