[TN-Bird] Emory Road,

On April 30, 2006 I birded behind the Dollar General Market, Pizza Mia, and 
All State shopping center off of Emory Road approximately 1.5 miles east of 
Interstate 75 from 3:45 pm to 5:34 pm.  The birds observed and the number of 
each species follows (six species of shorebirds were observed):

1.      Green heron- 3
2.      Canada goose- 7
3.      Wood duck- 7
4.      Mallard- 4
5.      Blue-winged teal- 1
6.      Cooperâ??s hawk- 1
7.      Killdeer- 3
8.      Lesser yellowlegs- 3
9.      Solitary sandpiper- 4
10.     Spotted sandpiper- 1
11.     Least sandpiper- 1
12.     Wilsonâ??s snipe- 1
13.     Mourning dove- 6
14.     Chimney swift- 2
15.     Belted kingfisher- 1
16.     Northern flicker- 1
17.     Downy woodpecker- 1
18.     Eastern kingbird- 2
19.     American crow- 2
20.     Tree swallow- 8
21.     Purple martin- 1
22.     Northern rough-winged swallow- 14
23.     Barn swallow- 7
24.     Tufted titmouse- 1
25.     Carolina wren- 2
26.     Blue-gray gnatcatcher- 1
27.     American robin- 4
28.     European starling- 8
29.     Northern mockingbird- 1
30.     Palm warbler- 1
31.     Yellow warbler- 1
32.     Field sparrow- 1
33.     Song sparrow- 4
34.     Northern cardinal- 4
35.     Eastern meadowlark- 2
36.     Red-winged blackbird- 8
37.     Common grackle- 26
