This morning between and during rain showers I had quite a nice mix of =
birds behind my office at the Ag Center in south Nashville (from 7-10am). =
Only reason I birded was because I stepped out of my truck at the office =
and heard a Yellow Warbler singing and looked and saw a male Blackpoll, =
but later did see the Yellow.

Ended up with 11 species of warbler and 4 vireos. Jan Shaw had Orchard =
Oriole and Bay-breasted Warbler on the other side of the Ag Center this =
morning to compliment this list.

Wood Thrush-1
Rose-breasted Grosbeak (a few)
Summer and Scarlet Tanager females looking at one another in the same tree
Yellow-thr Vireo- 1
Red-eyed Vireo- first for me in the Nashville area this year
Blue-headed Vireo-1
Yellow-billed Cuckoo- 1 seen, not heard, FOS
E Kingbirds, white-eyed Vireos, and gnatcatchers of course
Indigo Bunting- a few males
Field Sparrow along the forest edge
Yellow-rumped Warbler-1
Blue-winged Warbler- seen not heard
Blackpoll Warbler -male 1, seen and heard, maybe 2 individuals not sure
Yellow Warbler - at least 3 males
Western Palm Warblers - 2
Common Yellowthroat - 2
Magnolia Warbler - 1 male seen and heard
Nashville Warbler - 1
Northern Parula - 1 female seen
Northern Waterthrush - 2
Yellow-breasted Chat - 1

Coopers Hawk adult that called a few times and scared off all the birds

Cheers,
  Scott Somershoe
