[TN-Bird] Edgar Evins State Park Red-eyed Vireos and others

Edgar Evins State Park
DeKalb Co. TN

-
Danny Shelton and I took a hike this morning along a portion of the Millennium
Trail at Edgar Evins State Park.
Red-eyed Vireos were numerous; they often appeared at lower and mid levels
affording some good views. In fact, often while trying to locate another
species that had alerted us by its song, we would get our binoculars on a bird,
only to see "yet another Red-eyed" and not necessarily the bird we were looking
for.

Kentucky Warblers, Worm-eating warblers, and American Redstarts were also
numerous with the latter doing lots of singing. We got some very nice looks at
Hooded Warblers.

We also watched both Wood Thrush and Kentucky Warblers gathering nesting
materials.

Less numerous than in my past experience along this trail were Cerulean
Warblers. We heard maybe 5 or 6, and got a very brief look at only 1 or 2.

Here's a list of what we encountered along the trail or at the picnic area near
the Marina:
