This week, one of the 'Heartland Series' segments airing on WBIR in Knoxville is about Earl O. Henry, founding member of the Tennessee Ornithological Society and past President of the Knoxville Chapter. Earl is known for his paintings of birds. He died in the famous sinking of the U.S.S. Indianapolis during WWII. The 'Heartland Series' segment tells Earl's story and shows some of his paintings and specimens. Earl Henry, Jr. and Jim Campbell are interviewed.
