TN-birders, A quick visit to the Eagle Bend fish hatchery yesterday (March 23rd) in Anderson Co., on the east side of the city of Clinton, resulted in the following: Wood Duck - a pair; only the second time we have ever seen this species at the hatchery Bufflehead - 20+ Ring-necked Duck - 3 Great Blue Heron - 16 nests in the trees between the Clinch River and the hatchery; birds on 14 of the nests Killdeer - 30+ Pectoral Sandpiper - 1 American Pipit - 1 Tree Swallow - 100+ Cliff Swallow - 50+ Barn Swallow - 5+ Northern Rough-winged Swallow - 1 Savannah Sparrow - 2 Red-winged Blackbird - 10+ Dollyann Myers and Ron Hoff Clinton, TN =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation.
