Tn-birders, I stopped by Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery (Anderson County) early this afternoon to check for shorebirds like Nell Moore suggested. Indeed, there are several ponds that are nearly dry and I found a good number of birds. Highlights were: 75+ Killdeer (this is the highest number I have ever seen here) 2 Spotted S.P. 2 Solitary S.P. 1 Greater Yellowlegs 6 Pectoral S.P. 15+ Least S.P. 4 Green Herons 6 Black Vultures Ron Hoff Clinton, Tn. =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Topographical Maps located at http://topozone.com/find.asp * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the Tennessee Ornithological Society web site at http://www.tnbirds.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net Owner: Wallace Coffey, Bristol, TN jwcoffey@xxxxxxxxxx (423) 764-3958 =========================================================
