Steve and I made an impromptu late afternoon trip over to Dunbar Cave this afternoon. Encountered BLUE JAY, DOWNY WOODPECKER, TITMOUSE, CAROLINA WREN, CAROLINA CHICK-A-DEE on the "Short Loop". Treat of the day came at the Lake...were we spotted 5 PIED--BILLED GREBES and 2 AMERICAN COOTS among the 15 MALLARDS and 12 CANADA GEESE. Upon arriving home a RED-TAILED HAWK flew out from a clearing near out side yard. We'd been hearing him on and off today and he finally decided to let us see him.
